Starting the day by the sea on someone's front lawn will take some beating. By midmorning we had travelled further down the old coast road crossing into Latvia. The border crossing was quite interesting there were no staff but there was npr cameras on the side of the road as you would expect, however I wasn't expecting a watch tower, this was obviously left over from less hospitable times.
Onwards to Riga, arriving mid afternoon. We are staying at a city campsite, it's not brilliant but will do for one night so we can explore the city. Had a good look round the old town this afternoon, and will spend the mornimg exploring further, then it's off up the Eastern side of the Gulf of Riga heading towards Kolka.
