Three days ago saw us embark on our next adventure. We had spent many weeks planning and preparing both the Land Rover and trailer. 27 hours on the ferry saw us arrive in Santander northern Spain on Sunday lunchtime. The afternoon was spent driving down the coast to St Jean Piedmont design port. A beautiful ancient walled market town well worth a visit if your in the area.
One night in the municipal campsite with ferocious thunderstorm and rain we woke to a pleasant day with warm sunshine. After stocking up on fuel and supplies it was off into the mountains. Sixty miles of some of the best views I have ever seen followed and some excellent off road tracks, after reaching our halfway point and finding one of the tracks closed to motor vehicles we diverted and headed for the campsite for the night. A quick swim and dinner followed by some very cheap but quite tasty vino it was off to bed as the wind was getting up.
